Meeting Minutes
Oregon chapter of IAPP
April 17, 2002

The chapter meeting was held at the Fred Meyer conference center. PRG Schultz sponsored a great continental breakfast. There were 26 National members and 42 guests for a total of 68 in attendance.
Mike Boyle, Oregon Chapter President opened the meeting and welcomed the attendees. He introduced himself and the other board members, Joyce Larkins--Vice President and Cheryl Main--Secretary. Mike asked for a round of applause for the sponsors of today's meeting - Fred Meyer and PRG Schultz. Mike discussed our local chapter and benefits of belonging to the national IAPP. He gave some information about the opportunities at the annual forum, which includes general sessions and workshops.
Mike then introduced Troy Tate of Torque Solutions. PRG Schultz sponsored Troy in doing a presentation for us titled Personality Puzzle Profile. Troy asked each of us to think of someone we like to work with and three attributes of that person. He then asked us to list three attributes of a person that we do not like working with.

We were also asked to think of three attributes that our family would identify we had and three weaknesses that would be attributed to us by others. Troy completed his presentation, which provided us with many things to think about, and a lot of laughs along the way.

Mike Boyle indicated he would have the presentation on our web site and also would be e-mailing the personality puzzle test for us to take. Hard copies of the personality puzzle profile were handed out.

At the conclusion of the presentation, Mike Boyle held a short business meeting. He requested volunteers to host the June meeting. He also asked for those members that would be attending the annual forum in Florida to volunteer to do a mini-presentation for our chapter meeting in June. He hopes that our June meeting will be the summarized presentations from the Florida forum and then followed by round table discussions of the topics covered in the presentations.

Mike had Troy Tate draw names for the door prizes - we had great gifts to give away. The prizes, donors and recipients are listed below. The meeting was adjourned after the door prizes were distributed.
